What should I wash a hat / cap in the dishwasher?
So I hear or read, you can wash baseball caps in the dishwasher. How? "I can take the dishes and put them back on top, or simply do it yourself? No hats are cleaned with a mild dish detergent or do in the dishwasher? Thanks!
Put all dirty cotton or washable wool cap on the top shelf, secure it using various clips, plastic, add the normal amount dishwasher detergent, and run through a regular wash and rinse cycle. Remove the cap before the drying cycle and place in a large coffee can therefore maintains its shape during the drying air. You can also use a baseball cap form (available at sporting goods shop) for washing and drying, either in the dishwasher or washing machine. I washed the hat alone, with nothing in the dishwasher only a few hats at the same time to save energy and run it for a single hat!
